Professor Sandra Lorena López Varela is internationally renowned for her outstanding research in archaeology and ethnoarchaeology and has made important contributions to the study of local technologies. She combines a large variety of methods incorporating spatial and chemical analysis as well as mathematical approaches. During her stay in Germany, she will continue her analysis of social and economic development policies to combat poverty in view of their impact on social interaction and on heritage sites of local societies.
